The Little Pirates of Paloma; celebrating Gasparilla!

Our First Family Event (And Hopefully the First of Many!)

When we first started dreaming up Paloma House, this is exactly what we pictured. Families spread out across the lawn on picnic blankets. Kids running barefoot between the playground and bounce house. Parents actually getting to sit and chat while their little ones played. New friendships forming over pirate tattoos and coloring pages.

Our very first Little Pirates of Paloma was everything we hoped it would be—and honestly, even better. Inspired by Gasparilla, we wanted to create something that felt fun, easy, and family-friendly without the crowds. A place where little pirates could dress up, play, make memories, and where parents could actually enjoy the morning too.

A Yard Full of Little Pirates

The property was buzzing from the moment families started arriving. Kids bounced for what felt like hours in the bounce house, lined up proudly for pirate face paint and temporary tattoos, and colored pirate pictures at our Paloma Pirate coloring station before running off to the playground to make new friends. Our food truck kept everyone fueled while parents relaxed on blankets in the grass, coffee in hand, catching up with old friends or meeting someone new.

One of my favorite moments was just stepping back for a minute and looking around. Our space was FULL, what a dream; it was exactly what Paloma House is all about.

More Than Just an Event

People often ask what Paloma House is. Yes, we're a venue. Yes, we have coworking, wellness classes, events, and playcare. But more than anything, we're trying to create a place where people actually want to spend time. A place where you don't have to rush in and rush out. Where your kids can play while you finish a conversation. Where someone you've never met can become your next mom friend. Watching that happen during Little Pirates at Paloma made me realize we're building exactly what we hoped we would.

Thank You

To every family who spent their Saturday morning with us—thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your little pirates. Thank you for embracing a brand-new event. Thank you for making Paloma House feel so full of life. And to all of our amazing local vendors who helped make the morning possible, thank you for bringing so much joy to our community.

We're Just Getting Started

If this event taught us anything, it's that we need to do this more often. Our goal has never been to simply host events. It's to create traditions. The kind your kids remember years from now. The kind where they say, "Remember when we dressed up like pirates and spent the whole morning at Paloma?" That's the kind of place we're building. And we can't wait to share what's next.

See you at the next event. 🤍
